The full text of Rule 12 at the JREF Forums reads, Attack the argument, not the arguer. Having your opinion, claim or argument challenged, doubted or dismissed is not attacking the arguer. Seems like a good idea in general, but some things just need to be said, ya know? Biting your tongue gets old and leads to hairy palms. Here are some choice comments about a few of the more...interesting... forum members. We're all thinking these kinds of things. I'm just writing them down. If you'd like somebody reviewed here, leave a comment somewhere. I'll see it.

The Chosen

Before we go any further, we gotta get something straight!

The Chosen refers to those members of the JREF Forums who, like regulars at a bar, think they own the place. Some of them hang out almost exclusively in the Community forum. Almost all of the moderators are among The Chosen. The Chosen tend to hang out with their buddies, exaggerating agreement when there's consensus but remaining conspicuously quiet when there's disagreement. This is especially noticeable in the Forum Management forum. Some of The Chosen are known to be Modettes, those cheerleaders who almost always find a reason to support the mods.

To deny that The Chosen exists is to deny that a group of humans will form cliques. Of course, being skeptics one and all, The Chosen surely acknowledge this, right? Wrong. Just try referencing the Cool Kids over that the forums and see what kind of reactions you get.
